CITY OF HOLLYWOOD - Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen is being sued for negligence, according to a complaint filed on September 1, 2016.

Wendy Melamed was on the premises enjoying a meal in one of the booths when she fell due to "an excessive and unreasonable change in elevation" between the floor of the restaurant and the level of the booth she was seated in.

The restaurant failed to warn her about the dangerous condition and therefore she sustained injuries including, but not limited to, pain and suffering, disability, and scarring. This incident also resulted in expenses of medical and nursing care.

Melamed is now suing the restaurant for damages and costs exceeding $15k. She is represented by Joseph N. Nusbaum, Esq. of Brotman Nusbaum Ibrahim in Boca Raton.
