FORT LAUDERDALE - Northwest Federated Woman's Club of Broward County, Inc. is being sued for negligence after a slip and fall.
Nikia Phillips was on the Defendant's premises attending a Superbowl party on February 2, 2013 when a transitory foreign substance that had accumulated on the floor caused Phillips to slip and fall and sustain serious injuries.
According to the complaint, the Plaintiff suffered mental anguish, disfigurement, disability, pain, and many other damages. She also was forced to incur medical expenses for nursing care and treatment and hospitalization.
The Plaintiff demands judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, litigation costs, and any other relief the court deems proper, along with a jury trial. The plaintiff is represented by Carrie Mendrick Roane, Esq. of Barrett, Fasig, and Brooks in Tallahassee.
