LAUDERHILL - On November 4, 2016, the Plaintiff in a negligence action filed a complaint against WINN-DIXIE  alleging they were responsible for a slip and fall incident.

According to the complaint, on May 10, 2015, the Plaintiff was shopping inside the store while exercising caution for her own safety. She was caused to slip on a liquid substance and fall to the floor. As a result, the Plaintiff has suffered severe and permanent bodily injuries. The bodily injuries have forced the Plaintiff to incur medical bills including the expense medical care treatment and the aggravation of pre-existing injuries. This has resulted in the loss of the Plaintiff's present and future earnings, unreimbursed property damage, and other economic damages. The damages described are either permanent or continuing in nature causing the Plaintiff to suffer such losses in the future. 

The Plaintiff is alleging that the Defendant was negligent by failing to properly examine and maintain floor conditions from any liquid substances along with failing to caution the Plaintiff of floor conditions. 

The Plaintiffs demand judgment against the Defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs, and demands a trial by jury. Additionally, the Plaintiffs are represented by Glen B. Levine, ESQ. of Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine, P.A in Fort Lauderdale.
