FORT LAUDERDALE - On November 11, 2016, the Plaintiff in a negligence action filed a complaint against Broward Health Medical Center alleging they were responsible for a slip and fall incident.

According to the complaint, on August 22, 2014, the Plaintiff was a picking up her sister from Broward Health Medical Center. The Plaintiff was walking down the hallway where she was caused to slip and fall to the floor due to water. The water on the hallway floor was said to be caused by a leakage from an air conditioning duct in the facility's ceiling. As a result, the Plaintiff was severely injured. The Plaintiff sustained injuries which were caused and/or aggravated by the accident. The damages described are either permanent or continuing in nature causing the Plaintiff to suffer such losses in the future. 

The Plaintiff is alleging that the Defendant was negligent by failing to properly inspect and maintain floor conditions from any substances along with failing to caution the Plaintiff of floor conditions. 

The Plaintiffs demand judgment against the Defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs, and demands a trial by jury. Additionally, the Plaintiffs are represented by Michael F. Amezaga, ESQ. of Personal Injury & Accident Law Center, P.A in Boca Raton.
