HALLANDALE BEACH - A complaint was filed on October 11, 2016 in which the Plaintiff is holding Gulfstream Park Racing Assn Inc. responsible for a fall that occurred on the premises.
According to the complaint, Petronila Aubin was lawfully on the property on May 2, 2015 and eating at one of the food areas while seated on a chair that suddenly fell out from beneath her. This caused her to fall backwards, landing on her back and head, and sustain serious injuries.
The Plaintiff holds the Defendant responsible and alleges they were negligent in failing to maintain the premises by allowing the dangerous condition to exist and failing to warn the Plaintiff of the faulty chair.
Aubin demands judgment for damages exceeding $15,000 plus costs and further demands trial by jury. Aubin is represented by Anthony J. Aloneftis, Esq. of the Law Offices of Robert Dixon in Miami.
