FT. LAUDERDALE - The City of Ft. Lauderdale is being sued for an incident that occurred on October 3, 2015.

Mauricio Armijos was using the Cox's Landing boat ramp located in Ft. Lauderdale. He was in the process of launching his jet ski from the hitch of his truck. The boat ramp was very slippery and caused the truck along with the trailer to slide backward, pushing him onto a concrete wall.

The truck was caused to slide into the water resulting in a total loss of the vehicle and of the personal possessions of his that were in the truck.

As a result, Armijos suffered bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, along with the expenses of medical care and treatment. He declares a judgment against the City of Ft. Lauderdale for damages in excess of $15k, along with interest and court costs.
